About arēh

arēh was founded to express a sublime aesthetic language that bridges the material and spiritual through high-quality, handcrafted jewellery. For as long as I can remember I've had a deep desire to know, to trace the archetypal forms and cosmologies that persist in collective memory, to understand the threads that connect cultures, religions, and geographies. ​

 

Jewellery has always carried symbolism -- as protection, memory, ritual, status, belief. Long before it was decoration, jewellery was an expression, a language: worn to mark a memory, to signify a passage, to protect, to tell a story, or to express a spiritual belief. arēh is a return to that -- we create jewellery imbued with meaning.

 

Each collection begins in research drawn from travel, archaeology, history, cultural anthropology, and iconography. We pull at the thread of a specific belief or tradition and follow it back to its source. That essence is distilled into tactile, sculptural jewellery: pieces meant to be worn as everyday talismans and passed down as heirlooms.

 

Working across fine, semi-fine, and mundane materials, arēh leans on traditional crafting techniques used in untypical ways, alongside contemporary methods. Pieces are handcrafted in small batches and made to order, using natural, responsibly sourced materials.
